Hello all serious researchers
The corbel ghouls on Romanesque churches throughout the UK and Europe were there in Richard III's time. They are described in full detail in publications of the Egyptian Pyramid Texts. The Pyramid Texts (originate from c2500 B.C.) and are available in English from Aris & Phillips, London, ISBN 0 85668 297 7.

The images showing the "Beard pullers"
1.) QUOTE) Utterance 506 - I am a living soul with bearded face, who endowed his head with divinity
2.) QUOTE) Utterance 366 God they praise you lest you be far from them in your name of Sacred Beard
The images showing the mouth open and the tongue sticking out -- forth, fifth, sixth, and seventh images
3.) QUOTE) My mouth is pure and pure indeed is tongue which is in my mouth.
These were sacred concepts to all parishioners - and the (ghouls represented those concepts)
