Next week on Australian television they have a 2005 docu-drama on the
Prines in the Tower. The director is a Justin Hardy and one of the
actors a Mark Umbers.

Is that the one where there is a mad Margaret Beaufort locks them up in
a dungeon? Is it any good?

Yes, this is the one. I was silly enough to buy this on DVD - it's
worth a look, I suppose, but Richard III still gets more bad press. It
is really more about Perkin Warbeck and I suppose it does raise a few
questions.

In which case it is the Channel 4 programme inspired by Anne Wroe's
book "Perkin" but with a conclusion nothing like any of those she
deems possible.

You may as well watch it though.... although Paul's answer will give you a clue as what to
expect. However I did glean one fact from it that I never knew before .... that Perkin's face
was smashed in prior to his execution..... This is fact as it was reported by someone at the
time. Make of that what you will.

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Crimbo and Peaceful New Year

It is on ABC1 on Sunday 28 December 2008 at 8.30pm. I assume, being ABC1, that it would be nationwide.

it is a theory..that just doesn't work. entertainment value..so..so. has mild historical fact..loads of speculation. interesting info on perkin warbeck. i haven't researched him to any degree to be able to speak knowledgeably or intelligently on that issue. but as far as princes..mostly all theory that borders on fantasy.

good thing it's free, to nearly free depending upon what you pay for your tv reception.

it is fun to watch and say..yeah right..no way. who researched this tripe? boy someone knew someone to get this produced..etc. etc.
