researched, and factually lacking book Lancaster and York, and
calling it The Road To Bosworth Field is trying it appears to sell it
as new. Hardback is coming out now.

There was Hugh Trevor-Roper I suppose.

He made an idiot of himself over the Hitler diaries, though maybe old age was creeping up on him by then

Mind you, my middle name is Elizabeth, just like La Woodville.

H T-R wrote a biography of Archbishop Laud that I struggled through
when doing my A Level, though it is still highly thought of amongst
academics.
Mind you at the time I was reading marvellous stuff like Wedgwood's
bio of Thomas Wentworth, and The Trial of Charles Ist, and was
probably on my third reading of Kendall too! My English teacher was a
great admirer of Richard, so he and I got on famously!
