I hope I'll be forgiven for mentioning the imminent release of the paperback edition of "The Maligned King", but I just heard from the publishers that it will be available on 17 August. The cover price will be £12.99, and it's already being advertised on Amazon at around £9.
It contains a few updates/amendments and a more comprehensive index, and anyone interested in seeing the principal amendments can get a list by emailing me on ajcarson@.... Grateful acknowledgements are due to Marie Barnfield (Walsh) for devoting a tremendous amount of time and energy to dissecting it in detail and setting me straight on quite a few matters!
I recall that Eileen and one or two others were wanting to initiate a discussion on some of the points raised in the book, but I think there was a consensus to hold off for a few weeks. I had hoped the paperback would have been out before this, but there we are, that's publishers for you. I'd very much enjoy participating in such discussions, but I have to be overseas from 26 August to 14 September, so it would be nice to do so sooner rather than later. Or I'll be happy to exchange ideas with anyone who cares to email me.
Over to you!
Regards, Annette
