I think the book also has a very filmic quality. The storyline is very original and I think it will hold the interest of people who aren't even particularly interested in Richard's story.

I went to the Royalty site and just underneath the blurb for Joan's
book, This Time, is another book that should catch the interest of this
group.
It is called The Last Knight Errant , about Sir Edward Woodville (weren't we
just posting about him a little while ago?)
The book is by Christopher Wilkins and is called "The first full
biography of a pivotal figure in English history. Sir Edward (brother of
Edward IV's queen, Elizabeth Woodville), carved out an important role for
himself in the 15th century, but his reputation suffered at the hands of
King Richard III."
This is an interesting juxtaposition of book reviews even if I say so
myself! Just goes to show you, you can't get away from those Richard
critics!
Happy New Year to All!

"His reputation suffered at the hands of Richard III eh?"
What you mean as in Edward betraying Richard even before he became
king, plotting against him, stealing the royal treasure and running
abroad with it, then fighting for his downfall and destruction, even
after Richard had become the legally crowned and anointed king?
Nothing bad in that, right Richard haters? Edward didn't deserve to
suffer at all, right?
What is the matter with these people with their blinkers?? None so
blind as those that cannot see.

Right, Paul. Even when they are "praising" Richard (as in recognizing "This
Time" as a worthy novel), they must get in a dig by placing the review of
the Sir Edward Woodville book right next to it.
Can't let people suppose that Richard III was really a good guy! They could
have put that Woodville review further on in the article, but nooo-oo, it
had to go right after the pro-Richard review!

However, I have seen a small up-tick in sales at the same time my book
was featured at World of Royalty, so I'm grateful. My book also found
someone local to the New England Chapter, who plans to join us at our
next meeting. So yay to pro-Ricardian fiction.

Congratulations, Joan! The idea sounds so interesting, and will also appeal to people who don't like historical novels. I've got a copy ordered.
