The Durham Oath

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know the reference for the document which contains that interesting oath Richard administered to his tenants/ retainers around the time of Clarence's downfall. Came to light about 2004, I think, on the back of another document.

If I can get the reference, I plan to order a copy. I have an idea it's in the Durham archives, but I may be wrong.

Marie

Egad -- John Morton again! Is there anything that doesn't involve John Morton?

But this isn't THE John Morton, I don't think, due to the way he is identified. Maybe it's nephew John Morton, or, as so often happens, a completely unrelated man with the same name.
