IMO, a more serious historical trial of Richard III was conducted in
1996 at Indiana University School of Law--Bloomington with US Supreme
Court Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, State of Indiana Supreme Court
Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard, and Indiana University School of
Law--Bloomington Professor Susan Hoffman Williams presiding. The video
is not readily available, but I have made MP3 files of the VHS tape.
Anyone interested in viewing this video please email me at

will send you links to the files. I didn't do a perfect job of creating
these videos, but I think they are watchable. The total view time is
about 1.5 hours--considerably less than the 1984 spectacle.
