I agree with Annette and over the years I've been on this list I have
repeatedly said the same thing. We have to put ourselves in their (probaby
pointed) shoes, and we just can't. We like to think we can understand the
medieval mind, but we really don't. Granted, much of the way people
react to things and the emotions experienced is pretty much the same but in
the Nature vs. Nurture debate - they were nurtured so differently than we.
But the mystery is the thing, isn't it? There are so many surrounding the
15th century and Richard III in particular. It is intriguing, the facts are
so sparse but one feels the next search will turn up more enlightening
information. So we keep looking and trying to find the next clue. But pure
speculation and interpretations based on one's personal experience isn't
going to move us forward.
