I bought an ebook reader on sale--it was either that or add a room and
book cases to my house. Um, $80 for refurbished Nook vs. $25,000 for new
room on house sort of settled the question quite quickly.

I love books and will always want books that I can hold and flip real
pages, but now, instead of having to give books away because I no longer
have any place to put them, I can be more selective as to which I want
to keep as books and which work better as ebooks.

This Time is available in print at Amazon, BetterWorldBooks, The Book
Depository, etc. However, I can't control the prices at these
establishments.

I just downloaded it to my Kindle. Can't wait to read it! I gave a Kindle to myself for Christmas. At first I was a bit unsure.... the transition from paper to electronic media was a huge change for me. But I surely love the ease carrying my 8 ounce Kindle with now over 100 books on it, especially as I get older. And the ability to enlarge the print size is a definite plus. Today the Kindle, tomorrow the new iPad!

Hi, Joan,

I agree with your reasoning, but I still regret giving up my bulky OED for the
"convenience and minimal storage" needed to hold the electronic version - at
that time, $695 for a disk, which now makes an ineffective coffee mug coaster,
upgradeable with a piece of cork and a subscription to OUP. For the price of the
yearly 'scrp, I found a nice, if worn compact edition w/high power magnifying
glass.
