good one..lol
strange..that's the only one he missed. gotta wonder why. was truth stranger than fiction even in the 16thC?

i'm not a "student" of shakespeare. was richard the only english monarch he really twisted the truth about, or were there others that he "dramatised" to the extreme?

A novel by Robert Winder 'The Final Act of Mr Shakespeare" describes the events surrounding Shakespeare writing a play on Henry VII, after coming to his senses about Richard III.  It's quite enjoyable.

Didn't the Divine Sarah do this? (Or only Hamlet?)

I hear Macbeth was not anything like the character in the play, nor was his wife.  But I do not actually have scholarship to back that up.

Ah. the Scottish Play! We once performed the witch scene at night, this surrounded by trees. I directed and played Hecate...ill-clad, to say the least. I wore glow in the dark paint, however...you couldn't see much. Of course, I was only 20, and an idiot and fanatical we get the atmosphere right.

Got a good grade....

Gentlemen, please delete!
