Clements Markham available on Project Gutenberg
Clements Markham available on Project Gutenberg

I acquired an e-reader a few months ago, and now have more than 100
books on it. Every single one has come free, most of them from Project
Gutenberg - http://www.gutenberg.org - a collection of properly
proofread books out of copyright in the USA. (Some of the others come
from websites of books that have been scanned and uploaded without
sufficient human intervention - and make frustrating reading.) PG has a
special list of books brought out in the last 24 hours, 7 days and 30
days, and Clements Markham's book on Richard III is one that has come
out in the last week.
The site classifies books in several ways - title, author, language,
etc, and is well worth browsing. Markham's number is 36451, so
presumably a catalogue by subject would involve a lot of catching up. Le
Morte d'Arthur says it is by Malory and edited by Caxton, but the
spelling is modern.

Horace Walpole's "Historic Doubts" is also available there:

Carol, noting that George Buck's book isn't (probably too little known)
