Just a curious bit, tangentially related to the value of the bastards in the Tower and "pawn brokery"...
A bona fide historian friend asked if I'd heard of the Three Dimitris. I admitted I was clueless regarding most Russian history.
Then she told me a rather pathetically amusing story of three Czars named Dimitri, and I was reminded of the story of The Return of Martin Guerre. Neither of us puts much credence in Wikipedia, but it seemed to be the account that required least poring over in these Dog Days.
So, for what it's worth, I've included the site. Even if it's really just apocryphal, it does demonstrate certain features of human nature. And it shows to what lengths some people will go not to lose their jobs.
Loyaltie me lie, I do assure you.

P.S. Technically there were four, if you count the real Dimitri....
