My new Ricardian book Satin Cinnabar

My new Ricardian book Satin Cinnabar

This Forum was so kind about my first book (FAIR WEATHER) which frankly had nothing to do with Richard III, so I hope you don't mind me making a brief speech about my next publication SATIN CINNABAR (by BARBARA GASKELL DENVIL) – since this is certainly more relevant.
It's just been released online – now available on Amazon's Kindle Store and ipads, with all other e-book formats either out already, or coming out over the next week.
The story starts on 22nd August 1485 and covers the last few months of the year. This is fiction – but I include plenty of historical background detail, this being my passion, and naturally it's unashamedly pro-Ricardian.
This is adventure – crime – history – romance, and as far as historical fiction goes, I think this storyline is pretty original. I've had some good feedback so far.
I'm still slogging away with the online marketing which sadly I find not only beyond my computer skills, but utterly alien to my character. However, I've had excellent advice from some of you and I shall just keep on trying.
Thanks for the encouragement –
Barbara

Congratulations, Barbara - I do hope forum members will consider checking out Satin Cinnabar as I've had the pleasure of reading a pre-publication MS and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not a great one for historical fiction, and often give up before I'm halfway through, so I'm no expert on the subject ;-) but this one made me want to keep turning the page.
Best of luck from Annette

Just bought this on the strength of Annette's recommendation! Not a historical fiction person myself, either, so hoping to be converted. Good luck with it! Nina

Congratulations, Barbara! I wish you the greatest success with the new
book. After a long working day, I enjoy relaxing with a good read,
especially one that mixes history and crime. And yours will be the
first book I'll be reading on my new iPad 2. (Yes, I finally took
the plunge..... a bit of an early Christmas gift to me from me.)

Incidentally, Google+ now offers a page for business, new this week.
Please contact me offline if you'd like more information.

Flo

A terrific read! Enjoyed every minute of it, found the atmospherics wonderful, and the language spot on! No silly pseudo-medieval turns of phrase, but a rich sprinkling of interesting and colourful words. Highly recommended (and that from one who doesn't read historical fiction!) [too much "he grinned" towards the end, though!]
Best wishes, Nina

Dear Nina,

Thanks a lot - I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry about the grinning (I was probably grinning myself at the time)

Cheers, Barbara
