Anne Neville and Edward of Middleham

In Our Time made play of the deaths of Anne Neville and Edward of Middleham. For Richard III to lose both his wife and son was seen as a curse from God for his alleged wicked life: e.g. the removal of the angelic (?) princes.

In realistic terms, as opposed to metaphysical speculation, not having a direct heir probably was a problem for Richard, but the programme made clear that the idea of the alleged murders of the princes weighed with people at Bosworth, as Polydore Vergil suggested, cannot be substantiated.
