Starkey...that man again!

Today I glimpsed in on the of local (Cotswolds) newspapers a headline apertaining to Starkey and Sudeley Castle....Ive checked online and he is 'appearing' there at a re-enactment of Katherine Parr's funeral. You will all know that she is buried there. As the castle has association with Richard...he done a lot of improving there and built a beautiful great hall, now a lovely ruin...I would love to be a fly on the wall because I would bet money on it that Starkey...he is giving a talk...manages to bring Richard into it....and it wont be complimentary....Eeeeeeeeek....will he ever shut up! David Starkey is a fine Tudor historian - his biography of Elizabeth was particularly revealing.  He may not be pro-Richard, but is that any reason for people on this thread to make such snide remarks?

Indeed, he is a historian of note. Yet I remember David Coleman, a mildly virulent anti-Ricardian also from UCL, making even MORE harsh remarks... to an entire lecture theatre.

So there IS a precedent, and not based purely on Richard III.
