Too many Philppas.
Too many Philppas.

I was born in October 1956, and Baptised Catherine Philippa, my parents wished me to be called Philippa, not to be confused with P.C. surname. From an early age I learned that those who didn't know me called me Catherine, those who knew me formerly and officially called me Philippa but intimates knew me as Binnie. Yes I know, weird!
However, after the recent royal marriage I feel as though my official names have been lost and have had phone calls from friends having read the articles on the recent Leicester "dig" knowing my affiliation to Richard III, "are only Philippas allowed on this hunt"?
Philippa Gregory is oddly taken seriously by her readership and so another Philippa would confuse people.
There appear to be too many Philippas so does "Binnie" simply sound like a mickey mouse name for publication?
I have been so careful about what I've called my daughters!
