What an excellent article Carol, looks as if it was written in 2007 so is not influenced by present events. It says a lot about Richard that we are still able to be grateful for his short two year reign and that America, a country or should I say continent that did not " exist" while Richard was alive, is thankful for the laws he passed. If you compare Richard's short two year reign to the whole of the Tydder's reign it appears it can only be remembered for Morton's Fork and quite a few judicial murders.

Absolutely. That´s what I most admire about him. His installment of laws and that he had an ear for the folks around him. Certainly the dawn of modern laws. We owe him a great debt because of that.
