I was surprised to wake up to MPs' talking about the most appropriate
place to reinter Richard III. MPs for York, Leicester and Worksop were
given soundbites/mentioned on the Today programme.

It was also on Yesterday in Parliament,
<http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01nktfm>, probably available for a
week if you can get it at all. I think it's towards the end of the half
hour. It's not yet available, less than an hour after the broadcast
finished, but I'm going away for the weekend and can't wait.

Apologies for cross-posting.

There was also an item on Look North, the BBC local news for Yorkshire and the north east. They called Richard Richard of York all the time, using 'the name he was known as" as an excuse for wanting him buried in Yorkshire. This claim was followed by calling Sheriff Hutton his chief residence, and then the vicar of Sheriff Hutton church piped up with a "he would be welcomed her, buried at the side of his only son".
First we don't know it is Edward of Middleham buried there, so off we go on another wild goose chase!
An MP suggested Worksop Priory would be the perfect place, being at the centre of Richard's kingdom!
Another MP said it was rather inappropriate to be discussing what to do with the remains of the king in Parliament, likening it to medieval religious houses arguing over saints relics.
Nobody it seemed mentioned that we do not yet know for certain that the remains are King Richard, and that perhaps we should wait to see the report from Leicester University before we discuss what to do with the remains, if any discussion is needed, considering the legal position.
