[JLT] That would be really special, wouldn't it? But, pray tell, when are
they going to be doing the commemorative service/reinterment of the remains
of the Greyfriars Warrior? I am assuming, from the hints given in the
Ricardian Bulletin, that will be in August, 2013. I want to be in Britain
for that, and I certainly can't afford two trips to England within a month.

If not for that, I would register for this trip right now!

Help!

Loyaulte me lie,

Johanne

Here are comments I've posted on the website (the URL appears below, in
Wednesday's message) for the tour which is being led by Sharon Kay Penman.
My comments are "awaiting moderation."

1. This looks really exciting! I do have a few questions -
1) If the bones of the Greyfriars Warrior are Richard's, there will be a
fitting reinterment service for him, and I would love to be able to attend
that. Do you have any knowledge of when that will be scheduled, and is it
likely to coincide with our visit to Leicester and Bosworth?
2) What things *aren't* included in the tour? It looks like most meals and
airfare to and from Manchester to North America are not included in the cost
of the tour. Anything else we should know about?
3) How much of a deposit is required? Is payment refundable for a certain
period?
4) What are your terms and conditions?
Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!
Johanne

I called the ph no from the website.
There is a $500 deposit. The rest payable before 90 days of the trip. If you cancel after 120 days they take 50% of the deposit.
Only 3 dinners are included but all breakfasts are.
Plane fare is ours but they are going to pay for the bad tours and the entry fees.
So far all the single rooms are gone. Only double occupancy rooms are left but going fast.
In my calculation it comes around $6000-7000 for the entire trip with food and the airfare.......

If you do get here please try a London Walks trip. I did the Westminster Abbey/St James Park one last year because at circa £18 it was cheaper than the fee to get in the Abbey - and more importantly, you jumped the huge queues. Sharon could take you there, of course but there are others and they are great fun, cheap - and very informative.
