Oh dear - don't buy it.
Was mildly irritated by constant descriptions of ladies with uncovered hair and wearing dresses with 'pinched in waists" and wide skirts - has he never seen a picture? More annoyed by his confusion and just wrongness about facts which are known, and anachronistic descriptions of behaviour, but I persevered. Then I find that Henry Tudor was held by the Duke of BURGUNDY, who might be persuaded to sell him.. Don't know if I can finish it. So glad I borrowed not bought it

I'm sure the news from Leicester will provoke a big boom in fiction involving Richard III and his era. I wonder how long it will be before someone comes up with the idea of Margaret Beaufort and Bishop Morton being lovers as well as co-conspirators in the plot to put Henry Tudor on the throne?

Remembered another, "the Archbishop climbed into the pulpit and began the Mass". He must have had very long arms! Not even correct in 21st century terms. In a twisted way I have to admire someone who knows absolutely nothing about his subject but blithely writes a book...

Well I won't be caught out again like I was with The Kingmakers Daughter....It like pouring money down a drain. My fault...I should have taken a peek at it before purchasing. Hopefully my copy of this awful book will make a little money for the Cat Protection League where it ended up. Eileen

Oy! I bought this book and immediately regretted it. But the stuff about Mass is funny! It's sort of like "bloopers" in movies. Maire.
