First of all I'd like to say that I've no more of an axe to grind than
some Ricardians who slag off the Woodvilles, Hastings, Buckingham, the
princes, Edward IV, Tudor, but NOT Richard. Double standards!
I'd also like to point out that Ian McKellen introduced the notion of
linking Fascism to Richard in his version of Richard III. Yes, there
were similarities, as I pointed out, but I'm not saying that Richard
was Hitler, on the same level, but that he was another individual with
autocratic power who abused it to further his own family interests.
