Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey

Watched this series and found it mind blowingly dull. As someone not interested in the choir and how it is educated and functions, or the services it holds.....Half the first episode was spent in Rome! I thought Peter Jackson the king of padding!
Not enough history. Not enough either about the outrageous charges it makes to visit as a tourist.
Worst moment? The man who restores things talking about the coronation chair and getting excited about Queen Victoria sitting on it.
For God's sake man, Richard the Third sat on it in 1483!
Paul
Richard Liveth Yet!

I only saw the first one (Rome was the second one.) I found it very interesting because I used to work for the previous Surveyor and went there once a week so I saw people I used to know.
I will watch the final episode but of course programmes like this have to be all things to all people.
