Living too long with my mind in the Middle Ages

Living too long with my mind in the Middle Ages

I've been reading here, enhancing my knowledge of Richard III and
his times, and I'm afraid it is spilling over into my daily thoughts. I

found a display for cake pop kits for sale.  The display showed
little cakes in the shape of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and
Hello Kitty.  I did not see cute and tasty treats at all, but instead was

appalled at seeing these two beloved icons with their heads on pikes!

It's so confusing when realities collide that way :(

You remind me:

Along the riverfront by Chicago's Merchandise Mart (built by the Kennedies) there's a row of busts (unremembered Captains of Industry) on pedestals. Some years ago, Dave Letterman did his Late Night show, here, and he referred to these as the Pez Hall of Fame....

Penny, welcome to our warped world!
I am still not sure why and how R became such a big part of my busy life!
