Does anyone know why this book has gone out of print and sellers are demanding such high prices on Amazon Uk and US?

Months ago I complained to Annette Carson on the Forum that *Maligned King*
was not available for the kindle. I have looked back and found her exact
response, on Sept. 19, 2012, at 7:57 pm (which I have edited for brevity
from a longer email which also dealt with other, unrelated matters):



"As for "Maligned King" being available as an eBook, I declined the offer
when I realized that, if done, the publisher's policy would be to wind down
publication in print. No way!

I am thinking that something like that may have happened with *The Secret
Queen,* as it is available for kindle (as is *The Last Days of RIII*).



Pity! (And short-sighted, in my view, as I have a feeling that there would
be more money in it for the publishers if they kept multiple versions
available.)
