I was at first disappointed and apprehensive when the Richard item on the One Show began with an idiot dressed up with a huge pillow on his shoulder and a crown on his head was followed by the appearance of Dan Snow. But Dan was not his usual bombastic self and did a creditable job presenting the evidence about the end of Richard's life and the dig.
Again anger flared when the item was followed by Olivier giving his Winter of Discontent" speech from the start of the film, but it was followed by Dan putting things into perspective 'He may have killed his nephews' 'MAY HAVE KILLED HIS NEPHEWS" screamed the comedienne on the sofa next to Dan, but he jumped in rapidly to detail the misdeeds of the likes of William Rufus, John, Henry IV, and especially Henrys 7 & 8, emphasising how murderous the first two Tudors, "who had only a slight claim to the throne" had been and how they killed and killed to cement their dynasty.
Dan's last comment with which I totally agree. "If it isn't King Richard that we have found I'll eat my hat!"

Richard Liveth Yet!

Just watched this on IPlayer - think Dan would make a good front man. Did I hear it right when he said that R's burial place would be announced next (this) week?
