I've just learned that Sir Isaac Newton was also
Master of the Royal Mint, which was located in the
Tower of London between (roughly) 1279-1811.
Seems like an interesting combination of job skills.

I thought it was odd that Richard III made Sir Robert
Brackenbury Master of the Mint as well as Constable of
the Tower, until I found out that the mint was in the
Tower for over 500 years.
Welcome to the group!
