Naming our many horses/Re: Richard's horses

All my vehicles have been christened with namea of varying importance, such as the battered grey pickup truck called the Millenium Turkey, but the only one with historical ties was the GMC Vandura of late 1980s manufacture.  It was huge.  It was called the hippie van by my friends, but he was privately dubbed Hannibal.  It was a great van, and I miss it still, but while powerful it was about as nimble in traffic as I'd imagine one of Hannibal's elephants to have been in the Alps.
