It gets wrse and worse.
While the Tony Robinson show gets 95 minute slot of Monday, most of which will feature Mr R, he also gets a half hour on Saturday, dishing Richard and saying how he killed his nephews and wanted to marry his neice as fact. This after an hour of York hatred from Starkey with a repeat of his WOTR nonsense in Monarchy. Followed by another repeat of the Perkin Warbeck film.
So anti Richard gets the best part of three hours Saturday, then if we're lucky we might get part of an hour on Monday. I am being cynical I know, but I have never trusted Tony Robinson.
Dismayed.
I am told Philippa and John Ashdown-Hill are happy with the programme, though not enthusiastically so!

Tony Robinson is an arse (pardon my French, as the saying goes). Does anyone actually like him? However, he's not involved in Monday's programme as far as I am aware and I think most people (ie those not wildly interested like we are) won't watch More 4 especially on a Saturday night.
What does concern me is your comment that Philippa and JAH are "happy though not enthusiastically so".

Just heard from totally reliable source that Tony Robinson is NOT involved with the programme after all and that the listings magazines have messed up. Philippa is annoyed that at this late stage someone seems to be working against things!
We still have to put up with the 3 hours on Saturday though!

The present Duke of York is one Andrew Oldenburg.

Seen the trailer, definitely no TR.
The facial reconstruction looks rather familiar, but as I've said I don't believe they can do this without being influenced by the contemporary portraits.

Except there are n contemporary portraits, even the famous Windsor one is a copy of a copy of maybe one taken from life. Mt favourite, which looks more human than the Windsor does, the Broken Sword one, is a copy of an earlier one too. If the reconstruction looks like the Windsor portrait, and I will wait for the programme to see it, I am not surprised and will be disappointed.

(The present Duke of York is Prince Andrew. The title is usually reserved for the second son of the king or queen, IIRC.)

To the best of my knowledge it is Mountbatten-Windsor or just plain Windsor for some of them. I believe Oldenburg is something to do with Prince Philip's family, if you go back far enough, so I think it was David having his little joke. Of course they should all be something like Schleswig-Holstein von Glucksberg which was Philip's father's name - Philip's mother was the Mountbatten.
However, they do sometimes style themselves "York", "Kent" or "Wales" in the case of Prince Charles's sons. It's common amongst the aristocracy. Princess Margaret's son, for example, is David Linley becuase he is Viscount Linley, although his surname is Armstrong-Jones.

I'm going by the unbroken male line counting backwards. The earliest known ancestor is a viking pirate who established himself as Count of Oldenburg. Like most of the Balkans states which emerged from the Ottoman Empire, Greece adopted German royalty.
