The lead photo for this article features the National Portrait Gallery panel starting with R3. Is it wrong that my first thought was, "Our king's portrait is bigger than H7's. Way to go, Dickon!"

Okay, that was far too childish. Monday cannot come too soon.

The article is well-written. We get more information on the finding of the skeleton and its condition when it was found. There are also some really nice comments included by Philippa Langley, who was sitting at the side of the trench when the skeleton was discovered. (I think she might deserve compassionate hugs rather than envy for doing that.) Additional details in the article are like food to those of us feeling starved on news of Richard.

Go. Read. This one made me remember why I ended up loyal to him in the first place.

Thanks Wednesday...an interesting article with a few little details in that I had not heard before...such as John Ashdown Hill carried the remains. What an honour...and something he will never ever forget....Eileen

Carol responds:

Excellent. Thank you. If only they'd found someone a little more favorable toward Richard than David Baldwin, who isn't exactly anti-Richard but still puts too much weight on Richard's childhood sufferings, the usual explanation for his supposed "ruthlessness."

Otherwise, the reporters did a fine job.
