LOL, Eileen. I confess that I was picturing Marie as a cartoon cannibal boiling Swedes in a giant cauldron. What are swedes (lowercase), anyway? We Americans either don't eat them or call them by some other name (just as we eat eggplant, not aubergine).

They're *Swede Turnips,* aka *rutabagas,* (not the smaller Summer Turnips).
