Happiness they have found our king at last and that Leicester is to bury him. But what an awful and unfitting end the Lancastrians gave him, all the signs that they all had to have a stab possibily at a dead body and to show him off and then abandon him. He was King of the country, think this shows more than anything else what a miserly and uncaring king Henry was to become.
Although I did fear the DNA would not be conclusive, so glad it was, and he can be buried with his name. Like others hope this might make the Westminster gang and HRH think more about the bones in the Abbey, cos if she has qualms about opening the urn, she should think again. Or methinks it might be about money. The Abbey is a nice little money spinner.
That aside we as a group and all those involved in the dig should have a big group hug, we had faith and soon we might have a place to put our white roses. After being a supporter since the age of ten, and 42 of waiting for this moment, I am going to put the kettle on and have a nice coffee.

How about raising a glass to Mr Herrick who thoughtfully put up a marker in his garden where Richard's remains lay...Mr Herrick may well have kept the idea going and memory alive that was the burial site for Richard..Mr Herrick..wherever you are I salute you...Eileen

Yep, I do think, just for today, we should stop worrying and celebrate. It will never come round again. And drink to Jeremy Potter too, who did such a good job at the 'trial' and whose 'Good King Richard' has indeed made the headlines despite all. H

How about raising a glass to Mr Herrick who thoughtfully put up a marker in his garden where Richard's remains lay...Mr Herrick may well have kept the idea going and memory alive that was the burial site for Richard..Mr Herrick..wherever you are I salute you...Eileen
