Isn't it bad enough that the poor woman suffered a bungled execution? I
regret that it happened at Fotheringhay--her son, James I/James VI, allowed
Fotheringhay to be slighted because of this. I would so much have liked to see the
original castle, and that of Pontefract, too, which I think (offhand) was a
casualty of the Civil War.
