Re Face: What a truly sweet beautiful face! This reconstruction has erased the worried careworn look, and given him a serenity he possibly had when living at Middleham with Anne and young Edward, and going hunting with Sir Francis. may good Richard look like this wherever he is, on his happier plane. I can't wait for the rest of the world to see him like this, and then DEEPLY regret the scum that killed him and took the throne from possibly the best King that England&.surely deserved! Carol D.

Carol responds:
I don't think they're crossed, just looking down and to the left, away from the viewer. That's actually a nice touch so that he and the viewer don't appear to be staring each other down. His expression looks sweet and thoughtful as if he's remembering Anne. (Okay, I'm being fanciful.) I do think they made his eyes and possibly his hair too dark--the portraits suggest gray eyes and lighter brown hair--but that's a minor detail. It's the features that matter.
I can't answer your last question, sorry!
Re Carol D's remark that the jaw jutted forward, I think that's merely the placement of the lower jaw a little too forward. I've seen that in a lot of hominid and early human skulls as well. At any rate, he definitely had a strong jaw!
