Re Richards height: Interesting about the successful Roman fighters being shorter but very quick and agile. I ride Arabian horses of very old breeding. They are VERY what we call&scopey&low set to the ground, and can turn 180 or more degrees very quickly. Modern improved Arabians are taller with longer leg bones, and legs. They are not as athletic and agile as the truer desert bred Arabians. I read that Richard was able to defeat Cheney because of their tremendous height difference. Richard was lower to the ground, better able to maneuver and be quick and efficient. I can relate to all that, riding a well build, for athletic work, trail horse. Carol D.
