Richard's burial in consecrated ground

Hi, All -
I know it is significant that Richard was buried in consecrated ground, in
the choir of the Greyfriars (i.e. Franciscan friars, not monks). Does that
fact give any indication of whether he would have attended Mass before his
death, made confession, possibly even been shrived before the battle? I am
sure that he would have been judged to have died in a sufficient state of
grace to be buried in consecrated soil.
Loyaulte me lie,
Johanne
