Re Off Forum: I don't think its correct to have significant although redundant discussions of pertinent Ricardian issues, off forum. We realize this is not a discussion about Disneyland, and its extremely graphic and tragic. I have to gear up just to read my new Richard books, knowing this is a gloomy, tragic history. But we have chosen to be on Richards side in this current stage of his battle and want to stay the course, correctly informed. Thats the whole purpose of this forum, and to isolate important discussions among a few, is wrong. We are sympathetic to how distressing this is to any one member, as it is to us all. Frankly, its hell! But so was life as a Plantagenet, and in those times. We can return to modern life, any hour of the day. But we need to continue to share, and learn, and fight! Carol D.

I agree.  Perhaps we can have a thread which makes it clear in the heading that some people may not wish to read it because of the subject matter?

As usual, very well said. It is distressing, but then, war is hell, no matter what century. And yes, it was such a sad time, for a man we find to be fine, good and slandered terribly. But let us rejoice in the find, and the many scholars amongst this group can help us find our way. If something is unsettling, or unpleasant, that is why we have a delete button. I find myself, laughing, tearing up, but more than anything, being amazed at how much so many people know. This is like a graduate course in history. I love every post, and bookmark a great many of them, so given time I can read the source. I hope that some of us can be in Leicester in 2014, and find the joy in personal visits. I very much appreciate being a part of a really wonderful group of people.
