Re: Richards children: My interest n trying to find additional children by Richard was never to demean his character or tarnish his marriage vows. Its like observing a sinking ship, hoping for some survivors. I feel envious at the other Plantagenets spewing out numerous children legitimate and otherwise, and modern Ricardians looking at the face of a cabinet maker for some connections. We all want a modern connection to Richard, to help in some way to ease the pain of the passing of centuries and the diminishing light of his good character. Whether or not he found happiness in hunting or romance doesn't matter in the big picture. He is slipping away and his remains will soon disappear and the lid closed, so to speak. he will then be written words again, on a page. It is sad, nothing of him remains, for us, who care. Carol D.

Ah but Carol....as long as a Ricardian lives and keeps his memory burning Richard will never fade away....and that is what gets up some people noses...why they have to keep digging up stuff..and that is why they try to ridicule the defenders of Richard...all to no avail as far as I am concerned. Oh, I feel so differently. He's lasted 500 years and I suspect he'll last another 500. He just seems to intrigue everyone. And after this last astonishing discovery, I now believe anything is possible! Maire.

Me too....since I was hoping to trace back to Richard, but as stated earlier, probably an offspring of "and other issue".......cleaning boots and mucking out stables. There goes the princess dream!

Richard is not his bones; there is much more to him than the physical. If we close our eyes and go within, he's always right there. If we reach, he reaches back.
He was right there before they dug up his bones; he'll still be right there after they cover up his bones again.
Richard liveth.
