Re: rib cage: Before the entire excavated skeleton was shown to the public, an artist did a colored cartoon sketch of the lower right rib cage of Richard partially protruding from the dirt. I was excited thinking we would soon see the total skeleton. This artist had on the web, lovely illustrations of Richard at Bosworth and was apparently allowed some access to the partial dig. Just how much I don't recall, it was very early in the discovery. My question is: if the partially uncovered skeleton truly showing the front rib cage was then covered for excavators to return another day&.was there possibly an unlawful removal of some bones? Or was the front rib cage a fanciful, illustration on the part of the artist, having only HEARD about the dig finds. Possibly another mystery/ I hope not! Carol D.

The Bones of the 'Front Rib Cage' [Sternum] are, at least in part, more prone to rot away as they are partly 'Cartilage' NOT bone.
Kind Regards,
Arthur.
