I suppose people will now accuse Richard of animal abuse. Sheesh! What next?

Well, maybe in one of the rooms, they'll find the secret correspondence between Richard and Margaret. With all the information we need to prove E4's sons were sent to their Aunt's! I know wishful thinking!

If I recall correctly, Richard's involvement with the Bear Tower was to
encourage the installation of large plate-glass windows upstairs, which at
the time were very new-fangled and experimental.

It's generally thought now that the Bear and Clarence towers were built by Clarence, not Richard (who never lived at Warwick Castle). Rous tells us Clarence did a lot of building there.
The name of the Bear tower is surely as likely, if not more likely, to refer to the Bear and Ragged Staff badge of the earls of Warwick than it is to live bears kept for baiting.
