Dave
I would like to thank Marian,Maria and Paul, for their advice in my
pursuit of the history of Rene D'Anjou.Iam at present reading " The
Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" revised and updated edition.Along
with "Perkin A Story Of Deception,by Ann Wroe. The two are poles apart.
It was the mention of the Duc,s relationship with Jean D'Arc and his
Grand Mastership of the Priory of Sion. This with his daughter sitting
on the throne of England and the piety of Henry VI, I wonder, if
there was any influence in either direction.
So I shall now get the Tindsley Brothers book, then, Bio's of Jean D'
Arc, then the three books written by Rene DA.
I have read the bio of Margaret by Helen Maurer.
Once again thank you all for your help.

He Dave. Brain works slowly, I'm afraid. I've also read Hughes' book
about Edward IV and alchemy, put it together with evidence I've read
for alchemy at Henry VI's court, and wondered if it wasn't Margaret
of Anjou who brought the alchemists in. Not heard of anything before
the marriage. Certainly I don't think the holy grail stuff is all
hooey. Whether they believed they were descended from JC I don't
know, but that detail about the cross birthmark on shoulder - that
also crops up in the medieval story Havelok which I discussed earlier
on the forum. It was by that that Havelok's wife realised he was of
royal blood.
