It's Richard who suffers

I think it's sad that those truly knowledgeable about Richard may be leaving, especially when so many people are discovering Richard for the first time.
Somewhere, sometime in the past, he managed to capture our intellects and/or imaginations. I'd love to be able to research him in depth as the experts have, but I'm 6000 miles way from England and 100 miles away from a university library. I buy books on him as I can afford it, and appreciate every grain of new information that comes my way. I'm so very grateful to Richard's scholars for being willing to share because without their help I'd be even more ignorant.
I'm here because I miss Richard. Talking about him is as close as I can come to talking to him. For me, it's simply all about him.
Peace,
Wednesday

Thank you, Wednesday, for putting it so well.
I'm a newbie here, and am genuinely baffled by the sudden exodus of those who have the knowledge, answers, and respect of those of us who have come late to the party, but still yearn to know more about this particular king ... Richard III.
We newbies come in peace, not to take over, if that is the fear. We come to learn, and -- like Wednesday -- to feel "close" to a man who, for reasons that defy reason and understanding, has captured not just our imaginations, but our hearts.
I believe the format of this "group" may be contributing to the "problem." A message board format would eliminate the endless emails and repeat questions. Perhaps a move in that direction - ?

I must echo your views, who, also as a novice in terms of the knowledge emanating from this society. Am fascinated by all the revelations. I am a true loyal supporter of Richard III.

One answer to the problem of 100s of emails is to opt out of receiving the messages via email and go straight to the forum online and read from there...If the first line of the message is showing you can usually tell from that whether you want to read the whole messages or not...
