Headless Henri IV compared with Richard III
Headless Henri IV compared with Richard III

This story comparing Henri IV's lost head to Richard III's newly discovered skeleton is interesting, but the author speaks of Richard's skeleton as "deformed" and states that he was "reviled during his lifetime," which is certainly not true despite a few rumors circulated by his Tudor enemies. I started to add a comment but found that it requires a "profile." I have only one "profile" and no intention of making it public. Otherwise, I would have let the author know that she is simply adding to the misinformation that began accumulating about Richard from the moment of his death. (I don't count the rumors, which were not nearly as widespread as is usually assumed.)
I would feel more sympathy with Henri if he hadn't been contrasted favorably with Richard.
Here's the URL if anyone less leery of "profiles" than I am wants to comment: http://archaeologynewsnetwork.blogspot.fr/2013/02/mystery-of-henri-ivs-missing-head.html#.US0I0YddCSo
