Hi  Liz
Thank you  for  replying.  What  do  you  think  of  the  size  of    The  Sunne  in  Splendour ?,  i  have  always  loved  thick  books  ( if  they  are  good ),  but  this  one  beats  all  others,  rather  difficult  to  handle,  i  have  been  through  it  twice,  but  now  i  want  to  save  it  for  special.  The  Henry  11  trilogy  of  Sharons  i  can't  really  get  to  grips  with  yet,  as  unlike   SUNNE  she  doesn't  have  one  dominate  charactor,  in  fact  i  think  she  may  have  used  too  many.

I love her books, all of them, the Henrys, the Welsh ones.  There "are" alot of characters but I guess there are in Sunne too, it's just perhaps that we are more familiar with them so it's easier?

Yes it's a massive book.  I want to re-read it but I do most of my reading on the train commuting into London and it's a bit big to carry with me.  but I haven't read it for years so I think I must!
