It is Haploids......something. I will look it up again. I did a search, but the results were not very satisfactory in the explanation.

John Ashdown-Hill gives a thorough explanation of the mtDNA and the
genealogy in the second edition of Last Days. IMO, this book is a must
read...it's scholarly and readable. A real wow.
