Richard's really hit the big-time now!
Richard's really hit the big-time now!

The following was posted on the American Branch forum. Maybe it will lighten the mood a little.
Pamela Garrett
There is a marshmallow candy called 'Peeps' and every Easter there is a contest for the best diorama using Peeps candy - usually chickens and rabbits. This year, Richard made the Peeps contest.
The diorama is towards the end of the pictures. When I looked it was number 21. You'll have to wait through an advert first.

That is hilarious and very very clever. Just in time to say Happy Easter to all the Ricardians!

PS. Is it wrong that the tiny bones laid out in the diorama made me laugh?

Wow, that reconstruction is just peeptacular!
Peeps, for those who have never eaten (or even seen) them, are these ghastly combinations of stale marshmallow and powdered sugar, all molded into identical little carcasses sprayed with possibly carcinogenic food dyes in bright primary colors. American confectionery art at its least defensible. They are much, MUCH better as building material than treats. The advantage of making art out of Peeps is that, unlike marble, paper, ink, or paint, Peeps will never rot.
By the way, the Washington Post has the sloppiest site coding of any major American newspaper. Exercise patience and keep hitting "Refresh".

Actually, it made oddly pleased me to see that finding Richard has progressed into something as prosaic as Peeps. Perhaps this means he is a bit more accepted, and perhaps we will have a more modulated processing of information.

And as Weds pointed out, the Peeps will take light years to decompose in some obscure landfill.
