Just for fun. If a more historically accurate movie is made about Richard's life, which actor would you cast to play him? How about Aaron Johnson or Xavier Samuel. At least they are in the right age range instead of the much older man who played him in the past.

Richard Armitage. Just look for videos featuring his Guy from "Robin Hood" and you'll see why.

Hilary Jones
Ben Wishaw - (Keats, Richard II), the right degree of delicacy and twitchiness. And younger than RA who would have been ideal 10 years' ago.

Eddie Redmayne - another fine Richard II, and the perfect age (and build, although a little too tall).

Oh yes, a good choice....maybe Clive Owen in his younger days.

I have to agree about Richard Armitage. He's over 40 now and very tall, but could probably still pass for younger. The height will be an issue with just about anybody. Armitage is not only a Ricardian but was born on August 22nd. I read somewhere that Philippa is shopping a screenplay with him attached. He's said in interviews that he's always wanted to play the real Richard. Whoever it is, no American actors allowed--and I'm an American.

I am going with Orlando Bloom....... As far as looks. But can he act? Ooh, and Rupert Friend.
