ARTICLE: Blacksmith Today in Spitalfields

I'm posting this article, not because it's directly related to Richard, but
because it includes this quote from a current-day blacksmith in London who
identifies himself as a "proud Lancastrian from Pontefract." (We might
forgive him that because he gives a lively interview.) Who sez the Warz iz
over?

It's also a good article for anyone looking for finicky details about
blacksmiths/smithing not easily found in books, that might be applicable to
the period we're discussing. Hopefully. Maybe.

- *Friend:* Are you upset about the outcome of the election?
- *Me:* I'm upset about the outcome of the War of the Roses.

Oops...it seems a correction is in order.

In the feed from Spitalfields Life that I received in my inbox, the quote in the article does say "proud Lancastrian from Pontefract." But in reviewing the article posted to the Spitalfields Life website itself, the quote has morphed to, "proud Yorkshireman from Pontefract."

My great grandfather was a blacksmith. Love this article, and yes, smiths are still in short supply.
