Leicester University is now celebrating "the discovery of King Richard III BY THE UNIVERSITY." (quote. unquote as in below article.)
"The University of Leicester's Richard III Open Day will bring fun for all the family – giving everyone the chance to hear from the experts who helped discover the King. The public will also be able to visit two key departments behind the Search for Richard III - the Department of Genetics and School of Archaeology and Ancient History.
"The Richard III Open Day, held on Saturday 29 June, includes an exciting programme of public events to celebrate the discovery of King Richard III by the University."

Hi, Weds -
Well, here is the very last sentence of the article:
"The Search for Richard III was led by the University of Leicester, working
with Leicester City Council and in association with the Richard III
Society."
That comes after the email addresses to contact about aspects of the
program. But, honestly, I am not sure even that is correct, as I would say
that it was the *RIII Society* that initiated the project - and as far as I
know - paid for *all* the initial costs. So it seems rather shoddy of the
University to continually try to take all the credit. As I think most of us
here recognize, had it not been for PL, let alone the RIII Society and JA-H,
the University wouldn't have undertaken the project at all. What's more, the
dig was operated by ULAS, which is technically separate from the University,
I believe.
<sigh> Pity!

No mention of Philippa and John. It would be interesting to know how Dr Turi King would have been able to match the DNA without JAH's research and how would they have known where Richard was buried or even exactly where the Greyfriars was without JAH. Then Philippa had to work for years to even persuade them that they should begin to look under the carpark. How dare they pretend that this is all about the University because it obviously is not when you know the truth.

I'm half-tempted to send them links to both J A-H's The Last Days of Richard III and Channel Four's The King in the Car Park.
