Yahoo is acting up again so I can't link directly to the post I'm answering. I'll just quote it instead.

Carol responds:

They were married (some historians insist it was just a betrothal) in person. Warwick, his wife, and both daughters (along with Isabel's husband, the now inconvenient Duke of Clarence) were staying with Louis XI, as were Margaret of Anjou and her son.

I didn't think Clarence every met Louis XI or Margaret.  He and Isabel stayed at Honfleur. Later Isabel was to go with Anne to Amboise and there met Margaret. Clarence had returned to England. Anne was betrothed at Angers and they all swoare an oath on a piece of the True Cross. She was married later,a fter her father's departure for England.

Yahoo still won't let me respond directly to posts, so this one won't link (again).

Carol responds:

Then, again, could even Margaret of Anjou control a headstrong seventeen-year-old who considered himself not only a man but the future king of England and who would regard the consummation of his marriage with a fourteen-year-old "woman" his God-given right?
