Interestingly enough there was a piece in the Independent newspaper
yesterday saying 'this day in 1483 Richard III was crowned king in
Westminster Abbey'. I emailed a correction but it didn't make today's
edition.

Sounds like the festival we had there to celebrate the 500th anniversary
of his coronation back in 1983. I made a short film about it for
Yorkshire Television! It is available from the Society, or should be. I
got up to the top of the castle which isn't open to the public usually.
I was very hung over that morning, but the view cleared my head a bit!
